How to Treat and Prevent a Urinary Tract Infection (UTI)

Do you have a strong, persistent urge to pee? Or does it burn down there more than you’d like to admit when you go? You may have a Urinary Tract Infection (UTI). We send our condolences as UTIs are a no-fun annoyance on the go. Checkable Urinary Tract Balance supplements help clean the urinary tract to prevent infections while providing nutrients needed to promote a healthy bladder. Made with the most effective ingredients available, including D-Mannose, Cranberry Juice Powder, Hibiscus, and natural Dandelion herb, our UTI prevention supplements are designed to keep you feeling your best down there and everywhere.

What’s a UTI and What Causes Them?

A UTI is an infection that can be found in any part of the urinary tract system. This system includes the kidneys, ureters, bladder, and urethra. The bummer is if you are a woman, you have a greater risk of infection and for the infection to keep coming back. (Recurring UTIs)

The main culprit for a UTI to occur is bacteria. When the unwanted bacteria enters the urinary tract through the urethra, it begins to multiply in the bladder, and suddenly you have an uninvited party of bacteria in your pants. As we mentioned before, women are more at risk for contracting UTIs. This higher risk is due to the shorter distance between the anus and the urethra entrance to the bladder.

How do you know if you have a UTI?

It won’t take you long to realize something isn’t completely right down there. Symptoms of a UTI include:

  • Strong and persistent urge to urinate
  • Burning sensation when urinating
  • Passing frequent, small amounts of urine
  • Cloudy urine
  • Red or pink urine (indicates blood in the urine)
  • Strong-smelling urine
  • Pelvic pain (in women)

How do I treat a UTI?

Although annoying, thankfully, UTIs are relatively easy to treat. First, take an at-home UTI test to identify if you indeed have a UTI – it could be something else. Connect with your doctor or one through our telehealth app to see if antibiotics are needed. Since antibiotic treatments don’t always relieve the pain right away, you can use over-the-counter (OTC) products to treat the symptoms of a UTI. Examples of OTC products you can purchase are Azo, Cystex, Uricalm, or Uristat. Of course, generic versions of these are great, too!

Want to Eliminate or Prevent Your UTI?

Checkable Urinary Tract Balance helps get rid of pesky UTIs and helps you feel better fast! Don't wait to feel your best; start taking them ASAP and prevent them from coming back.

Our UTI supplement with D-mannose helps cleanse the urinary tract and maintain the health of the bladder lining. Additional ingredients like cranberry, hibiscus, and dandelion herb help create an ideal healing balance in the urinary tract. You can incorporate plenty of preventative methods into your daily life to help keep UTIs from happening.

  • Take the Urinary Tract Balance Supplement
  • Drink more water: Urinating frequently allows bacteria to be flushed before an infection can even begin
  • Wipe from front to back
  • Empty your bladder after intercourse (sorry, this may ruin the mood, but you’ll thank yourself later)
  • Avoid potentially irritating feminine products
  • Take a look at your birth control: Diaphragms, unlubricated condoms, or spermicide-treated condoms can all lead to bacterial growth (again, sorry to be a party pooper)

Who should take a UTI support supplement?

If you are prone to UTIs or in a higher risk group (pregnant, using a catheter, having kidney stones, or using a diaphragm), you may be a good candidate to take a supplement to prevent an infection from starting in the first place. For full preventive force, use a supplement along with the other prevention methods listed above.
